I know you are all itching for content. It's Wednesday. Where is my Preshow? What is happening?! Well let me tell you. I went to prison yesterday. ALCATRAZ. I'm in San Francisco for the moment so recording and editing and having time to visit cool places is becoming difficult to balance. Do not worry though. I have thought out a battle plan for this week far ahead of leaving. I do have something for you. Not something I or Sandy created but something from a little group I like to call Very Tasteful Productions. I think they are out of Victoria but I could be mistaken. Ok. It's Wednesday. In fact it's almost Thursday. I know what the release schedule is. Something comes out on Wednesday. Our record schedule says that something is recorded on Wednesday. But you see. Sandy is an unpredictable creature. One day you see him online and get him to do a show with you, the next he is nowhere to be found. He may blame this on "studying" or "doing school stuff". I just think that he is sleeping. That's right sleeping. So I am going to give him a phone call right now. Get his ass out of bed and get him on Gizmo to say hello to everyone. If I can manage this. You will see the results below. If not, you will see a monkey cleaning a cat.

Howdy guys and Gals. This is just an update so don't expect any sort of fancy audio crap. I hope everyone is checking the website religiously because well. Because you should.

First up. I would like to point you over to our handy dandy side bar. There you will find a link to the Hot Topics Store, A button you can hit to give me some money for all this work I'm doing, and what? What's this? An episode list? Well I'll be... Ok, I don't know why I'm writing like someone from the south. It sort of just popped out. I'm just trying to show you that we have an episode guide of sorts now. So if you missed a Hot Topics you can go and find it there. Pretty nifty if you ask me. I didn't include any of the Preshows on the list because I figured that might make it too long and too hard to find anything. I might do something fancy with drop down menus and stuff.. but then again I might not. You can still just subscribe in iTunes and download things as they are released.

Next, I want to talk about the release schedule. If you didn't catch last weeks Hot Topics you might be wondering what the heck is going on. So here it is:

CBC Topics - Released Mondays (Or the Friday before on CBC North)
Hot Topics Preshow - Released Wednesdays. Probably in the afternoon or when I get it done

I'm playing around with sounds and stuff lately. I create things in Reason and then export them to Garageband and fool around with the instruments. It's pretty fun and makes some weird results. Hot Topics 11 - Preshow

Well, it is Wednesday again. You know what that means. You get some content. In whatever form. So here it is:

Hot Topics 11 - Preshow

This weeks preshow has an interesting story behind it. I made a song using Reason which you will hopefully hear at the end of this weeks podcast. I was thinking of using this song for today because it is pretty good and I spent a fair amount of time on it. The issue; I couldn't figure out how to export it. I wanted to throw it into Garageband and then add some audio clips from the show.. except it would only export as a MIDI file. So I did that and on a whim moved the midi file into Garageband. It something miraculous. Not only did it copy the song in but it moved each individual track in. Whoa. Only one problem, the instrument for all of them was a "Pop Flute". Very odd if you ask me. So I changed up the instruments and added the preshow banter and here we have todays Preshow. It sounds nothing like the song you will hear at the end of the show on friday. Although in theory, it is using the same rhythms.

So, I have come to the conclusion that Sandy and I are both pussies. Sandy still refuses to eat the potato and I am just too lazy and poor to drink a dozen raw eggs. I know we are lame but someday when we are maybe 50 we will be glad that we didn't go through with something that causes us serious bodily injury and possibly cancer/aids. I don't know if that is how he spells his name but I do know that he is a real man. Risking a sugar induced coma and possibly diabetes Mike does the impossible. He drinks an entire bottle of syrup. Even though he knows very well that it is that bottle which may put him into an early grave he goes forth only caring about the entertainment of others. Now that my friends, is a true performer.

I thought I might do something a little different this week for the mid week teaser. I did this for a few reasons. Mainly it was because I can't get Soundtrack to work for the moment so I had to do everything in Garageband and therefore couldn't edit the audio like I usually do. Those damn multiples of 4. Get us every time. As you can totally tell there are no Hot Topics this week. Thats probably alright for most of you because like me and Sandy you are knee deep in holiday cheer being just past Christmas, half way through Chanukah and the ugly beast of New Years rearing it's.. well ugly and bestial head. So no Hot Topics. But next week. You better be ready. We should have our regularly scheduled program and a nice little month in review song and dance.

Sandy totally didn't do the potato. I don't think we will ever get that out of him. I will totally do the eggs though on my next day off so I can survive the stomach ache that I will obviously get.

It is actually warmer in Whitehorse right now than it is in Vancouver. I am happy to be inside my nice little house. Although I have to work tomorrow and it is almost four in the morning so I am not happy to not be in bed. Figure that one out. You geniuses and malcontents.

So, It's friday. A Hot Topics will be up today. As soon as I wake up and edit it and get it out the door. There was no teaser this week because we couldn't record until Thursday due to Sandy's little problem with being all over the country. I'm not sure if there will be a teaser at the end of the hot topics tomorrow later today. It all depends on how much time I get. Maybe I am "sick".

It is 2 degrees in the Horse and -4 here. Strange how my world is turned upside down. I got carded at a bar this evening. They let me stay I just couldn't drink anything. Which was good because my ride was there and I didn't want to walk home. Nice people.

You know the hardest part of losing data is getting back your stuff. I made a pretty big mistake after recording Hot Topics yesterday. I threw it out. Now I know your thinking, how can a computer genius such as myself accidently throw something out. Well it happens to the best of us folks. I thought I had copied the file to my hard drive... when really I hadn't. So, I did what any reasonable person would do. I panicked. After I was finished panicking though I got myself some data recovery tools, those things are pretty neat by the way. A couple hours later I had the Hot Topics file nestled safely in its folder. Now it was time to whip up a teaser for you fine folks.

This weeks teaser mixes a little bit of old with new. It takes some parts from the original theme and mixes it in with newer sounds to create what I think is something truly original... hell what I am talking about. I'm no artist. Check it yo:

No more of this "me borking the tempo" stuff. I didn't bork the tempo. I tried to fix the tempo and in the process it may have gotten borked. Actually I think what happened was that the rate in which I encoded it may have warped the voices a bit. Nothing I can do about that. Before the audio files were waayyy to fast like faster than chipmunk speech. I would prefer to have them this way to that. I also have to encode at the rate I did because of file size reasons. It dropped my file size from 40 megs to 10. Pretty big difference when uploading into a free service. So there. That is my defense. The next time, hopefully it will work better. If not I will fix it the time after that. Or sometime in the future. GOSH!

Ok, I will fix it for next time. But lets move on to how I borked the tempo and move forward to Sandy eating a potatoe. When's it gonna happen Sandy?

Ok, so there are still a few kinks to be worked out with this podcasting thing. But we aren't doing to bad for only 2 episodes. Besides the talent. I think at least one of those guys needs to be fired and replaced with John Stewart.

I'm thinking about creating a seperate blog just for the podcasts. On the positive side it would mean people could just go there to get the audio or come here to read my ramble on and on about how my pee smells funny or how google has released a bunch of new things. On the negative side I think it might screw the traffic I have been getting lately. Which would hurt my ego. Which isn't good.

So I signed up for Google Analytics. It's basically website stats so I can see how few people like to visit my small spot on the internet. In theory it looks really cool with a pie chart and a map showing where hits are coming from and this and that. The only issue is that it doesn't work. I signed up two days ago and it has said that it was "collection data" ever since. I know this doesn't interest you but bear with me. It also said that it would take around 12 hours for this data to be collected. You know what I think. I think google is rolling out a new way to measure time. I would keep my eye on these domains just in case something pops up:

Two Days Off!

So I have tow days off from work coming up. It will probably be turned into one day off with a work day on Tuesday. But hopefully not with these new people working. So you know what that means? It means I can get my ducks in a row and my cards into the deck thing....

What I'm trying to say is that I'm going to try getting a schedule together for these podcasts I want to do. I have ideas that i haven't really run past some other people. Hot Topics will be a once a week thing. I want to get at least two more casts with other friends that will be weekly events. I just have to tell these friends what we are doing. I also need to figure out what day of the week these things can be released. Like every other day in a week. Who knows.

Anyway, this was basically a post for the sake of posting. Oh yeah, I won't buy any Sony products anymore. Screw the headphones. screw the PSP and the PS3 and damnit, screw all of their CD's.

My family just called. Well most of it. It was a very nice thing for them to do. It was my sisters birthday dinner (better late than never). I was put on speakerphone and drilled about this job I might be getting and how I'm doing. It was really nice. Then we all sang happy birthday to my sister. That was my favorite part because on my phone the ends of words kept dropping out so it sounded like: "happ birth ay to you, happ bir day o you" Pretty damn funny if you ask me.

I also got a call from my brother yesterday. That was a nice one too even though it came at 5 in the morning. But hey, call me when you can. It's always nice to hear from you.

Very odd. Hot topics. The podcast in the post below you has both an intro and an outro theme. When I go to where the file is hosted and play it you can hear the intro and outro no problem. But if I link to it here and play the file it just plays the dialogue without the music. I have no idea why this is happening and I hope to fix it sometime soon because it is really quite annoying. I would give you the link so you can hear the theme but I'm not going to do that. I will let you know when the old link works and I will repost it. You can still listen to the podcast no problem.. you might just want to listen again when the music is fixed.

Hot Topics was a little segment me and my friend Sandy did for CBC Radio. It was a 5 minute piece for Steal This Show which was a radio program run by youth for youth. When me and Sandy finished with STS we wanted to continue to do Hot Topics. I thought a podcast would be a good idea. Tus was born the whole reason I am podcasting now. Hot Topics Will come out once a week. It will cover some basic current events but mainly it will be me and Sandy dicking around. To those of you who wanted to know the answer to if I have a MySpace well... read the title of this post. No.

I will explain to you why I don't have a MySpace. I don't have one for the same reason I never got a xanga. They want you to sign up. on xanga your not allowed to post without having a xanga account. I always hated that and ranted about it on many occasions. MySpace takes that shitfarm to a whole new level. I can't even view photos of people or read certain things without signing up for the service. How retarded is that. Having a MySpace is like joining a cult and I sure as hell do not want to be drinking that kool-aid. I said I hated MySpace last post because it wouldn't let me do something it never lets me do.. which was view photos. It wouldn't suck if everyone stopped using MySpace to host all their shit. Here is waht you do people:

1. Start a blog at blogger.com
2. Get a Flickr account
3. Use Ourmedia to host any sound/movie files you have
4. start posting about you boring ass life

There. Do that and anyone can view your photos or any other media you want to share. The only reason MySpace is so popular is because it's too easy to just sign up and start posting pics and doing blog entries... but you wont get the full feature set of flickr or blogger and if you tell your friends to go there and they don't have a MySpace account they are SOL to see any of your stuff... Ok I think that's enough of that.

Don't See What I Saw

I Saw Saw 2. It was really really lame. I mean, normally I wouldn't even go to a movie like that but it was someones birthday and that was the movie they were going to. I felt like se7en was being ripped off the entire time. Se7en is a good fucking movie. Watch that instead of going to see this garbage. I was going to compare Saw 2 to the drunk guy I saw on the sky train but that really isn't a fair fight. The drunk guy was hilarious.

That's about it for things I have to say. There was one other thing but I forgot it. As you can obviously see, there is no audio in this post this time. I still haven't done it because of work and I am still dealing with a little illness. Basically I'm fine except for a sore throat. I don't know what's up with that.

So I was trying to get my first podcast up tonight with my good buddy Sandy. HE said it was too late but I pleaded with him. Finally he said yes. THEN HE DISAPEARED! A little while later I got a message in my gizmo voicemail.

If you click on the title of the post it will take you to the file. I know it isn't a proper podcast cause it's not in /mo3 format or whatever... but its damned well good enough. I will work on getting on itunes once I have maybe 2 or 3 casts on my belt. I'm also going to pimp this site like crazy in order to get people to listen to this shit. Anyways. I have some space available to host and I have set up to use feedburner so you can subscribe with iTunes I think... This is kind of confusing but I'm hoping that it will become less so. I also hope that I can promote it enough that people might actually listen. Because that would be depressing.

It's interesting how with the advent of internet blogs and shit radio became more and more obsolete and now we are converting back to our audio ways. fuck yeah. Full circle.

Movie reviews are pretty lame all together. It is all a basis of opinion. But these guys are so uppity up up that they have to breathe so much more into what should be a simple task. Enjoying a movie. How do you enjoy a movie?

Me, I personally like to you know, sit back and watch it and get what I can out of it. If the film gets it's point across without shitty parts then its a decent film. Case in point:

Everything is Illuminated: Told me the story perfectly with the exact right amount of dialogue and action. It told the story well.

Doom: Total piece of shit. Throw Resident Evil in with Professional Wrestling and you have Doom. The Rock just isn't a good performer and he is even worse here. The story fails and doesn't make a lot of sense. Dialogue is shit. The only decent part was the first person point of view which lasted for all of 5 minutes. Go see this film if you are high on crack and want something to kick the addiction.

Now you understand how I choose which movies are good and which are shitty. I'm not saying I don't like action films. They just have to be decently done. Lord of the Rings was total pimp because it told a story.

These cinecast guys, which I think I have mentioned before. They just want to breathe so much into a film to make themselves look smart and stuff. GOD DAMNIT WOMEN!

yeah it's me. I'm working in the afternoon but I am awake now for some reason. Now is 8 AM by the way. That is why it is impressive. I think I will take a nap at... wait gotta change the song...there. Beastie Boys.

So I got paid today. I'm 500 dollars richer but that really isn't anything because I lost a bunch of money by being poor last week. Well ok 40 bucks. I just need things to settle down. And I need to find some theatre work.

It's not that I'm lazy. It's just that the OC and work have been taking up most of my time. As soon as I'm done thee second season I 'll jump right on this, I swear. Actually My day off comes tuesday so you can expect a full account of all the crazy shit that has been happening to me. Such as the drunk girl on the bus yelling to everyone that I'm hot. Or the little blue car with a snoopy doll on the top. There is lots to tell. The most important I think though is that I saw my first hooker. I know, Exciting!

September 26 - Two Days Left

I am positively full. After not eating at all yesterday, ( I didn't do much of anything yesterday hence no post) I have had 3 full meals today. Ok not really but what I have eaten has really filled me up. We just got back from this Yemenite restaurant right beside our hotel. It was ok food, not amazing. We knew it was timme to leave when the boss started yelling at the waitress and some woman came by and started screaming at the boss then spat at him.., It was an, experiance.

Earlier today was spent in Yaffo, or Jaffa however you spell it. We went to the market there which looked a lot like a big community garage sale. Not that interesting except for some computer parts and stuff I saw. But that was only interesting out of a curiosity point of view rather than an actual interest. So basically I ate and walked today. Ate and walked. Tomorrow I'm going to more markets so my mom can find a suitcase and some gifts for my brothers. I'm just gearing up to head home to Vancouver. I'll probably spend a lot of time at the beach and try to fade out this horrible farmers tan I managed to get. I hope the girls don't laugh at me.

Oh no! I used real names. I'm sorry, suprgrl, bommann, and diaspora2000!

Alright, jokes aside. I went to shabbat dinner last night. My mom was uncomfortable to say the least. You see it was kind of and orthodox meal. Ok it was an extremely orthodox meal. I had no problem with it but my mom as she is just couldn't handle all the praying. I found it fun. But whatever. I also bought a new Kippa. I call it a super kippa because it's pretty big. Picture coming soon.

Besides that it was a pretty easy time. I went to that big church in Jerusalem. (Can't remember the name but I have pictures!) andthen we watched the action at the Western Wall. A good friday I must say. Very low key.

So we are back in Tel Aviv and about to head out to a museum with grandpa. It's his last day here so I suppose we will do that and then go to dinner and stuff. I will fill you in on the meal tomorrow.

Everything is going great. Home in 4 days.

September 20 - My Finely Feathered Friend

I shared my sandwich snack with this bird. He was cool but kept wanting more!

Today we travelled out to the Masada. A really cool ruin with an even cooler story. Ok so the story isn't cool, it's actually sad but it is all very very interesting. Basically a bunch of Jews commited suicide there instead of surrendering to the Romans. Google "Masada" if your interested.

After that we went to the most awesome place in all of Israel. Better than anything else I have done so far. The DEAD SEA! It is truly an amazing place and if you don't get there before you die you have really missed out. I know people tell you how you flost in the Dead Sea but being told is nothing like actually floating. YOU FREAKIN FLOAT! You don't even have to do anything. It is really really cool.

I forgot to mention yesterday. Yesterday we went to a tour of the Western Wall Tunnels. We travelled under the western wall. It was also very cool. Possibly the second coolest thing I have done here. Check out the pictures for a little bit of an idea. I also have a video of the full tunnel if anyone is interested.

There are tons of new photos. Don't think you have seen them all just on the first page. Keep clicking back or have them displayed as a slideshow. There are so many from the past week. I took about 100 a day and put a lot of them up.

It's hard to do a full recap as to what has been going on because it's been so long since I last posted an update. The waterfall is from a hike I went on. It was the middle of the day and was very long and hard. I have pictures up of me before the hike and then after the hike. Just search for "Me"

Other things we did were visiting various historical sites and museums and stuff. Not a lot of pictures from the museums because you weren't allowed to take photos for the most part. We visited to Holocaust museum today. Very moving.

Ummm. I don't know what else we did.. So yeah! Off to dinner I go. But don't forget. LOOK AT THE PICTURES. They speak louder than me words.

We are heading to Akko to do some walking I guess. I'm not really sure what's going on. I just woke up this morning and ate some cake and they made all these plans to do hard walking and stuff.

Yesterday, guess what we did? Walked in Akko! This must be a pretty interesting town for all this walking. It's got a sea wall. And a market. Intriguing. That's not how you spell that, is it?

Anyways this has got to be a short entry because we are heading out to the car right now. For a fun day of walking. Then a relaxing car ride. Maybe I can get a nap somewhere in there. Wake me up at 7:30 will you!

I went and saw this Mayumana show tonight. It was really awesome. It's like Stomp, although I've never seen Stomp live my mom has and she said this was better. Great drumming on a ton of different things. I especially liked the pipe stuff. Very cool.

I have decided that I don't really like Tel Aviv so much. Maybe it's because I have gotten sick or the fact that i was jumped a couple nights ago but I just get this uneasy feeling when I'm walking the streets. I hope the rest of the trip is better and I don't regret coming here.

Tonight is our last night in Tel Aviv. NExt we go to Akko. Who knows if there is internet there so I don't know when the next post will come. I think there might be because We are staying at a pretty nice hotel I think...

That's about it. I slept all day and went to the beach for a tiny bit. I'm tired of Tel Aviv. Anyways. Goodnight!

September 8 - Beach Day

Ugh, I think I'm coming down with a cold. My throat is sore and it's just yuck.

This is a picture from my hotel room. You can see the ocean right down there. If you click on it you can see another picture from the same place during sunset. Beautiful.

I spent a bunch of my day just down that road on the beach. I love playing in the ocean. It was an amazing time. The waves were a lot of fun. It was the first time I actually enjoyed myself in salt water. Afterwards I got an ice cream cone and headed back to the hotel for a long nap. I seem to be sleeping a lot this trip because of the heat.

I'm also not eating very much because of the heat. I only had one meal today and I don't really feel hungry at any time of day, it's odd. We went to this pretty fancy restaurant in Jaffa. It was really good food. One of their desserts was vanilla pudding served with cigars. I was very tempted to get it. Restaurants in Israel let you sit at the table forever. We just sat and talked and no one cared that we weren't eating anything.

After I went out with Rachel and Jordana. Two friends I met at the wedding. (I should porbably get pictures of them up). We went to this jazz thing. IT was alright but there was nowhere to sit and some of the singers weren't that hot.

you get the idea. So it was back to the hotel. Now, well now I am probably going to bed. I want candy. I must buy candy tomorrow. Or cold treats for my throat.

All in all, I give this day a 7.. only because I missed breakfast.

Finally! Internet! I am in Tel Aviv after spending 3 amazing days in a small village of Zichron Ya'kov. So much has happened that I'm sure I will miss something. But Here Goes Nothing:

September 4:

LONG FLIGHT.

September 5:

The 5th was my first full day. We went to the beach and it was a lot of fun. I love the beaches here and plan on spending as much time as possible at them. I don't know why I'm not at the beach right now. Also, I went to a party that had to do with the wedding I was attending. It was a lot of fun. I met some really cool people which made me very happy. I also got my first taste of Israeli beer. It is good!

September 6th:

THE WEDDING! Well the wedding was at night. Before the wedding though I went for a walk and got horribly lost. Zichron Ya'kov is a very confusing town with streets that go every which way. I ended up walking around the same block three times before finally making it back to the hotel.

The wedding was an experience in itself. If I could describe it in three words they would be:

food
dancing
food and dancing

There was so much to eat. It was insane. Then the music came on and I danced pretty much the whole night. I drank wine and danced. Insanely fun time. If you ever get a chance to go to an Israeli wedding. Do It!

That brings us to today. I'm sitting at our new hotel in Tel Aviv which has wireless internet. There is no one on MSN because its 6 am back home. I will be able to post until Saturday. Then it is off to somewhere that may or may not have any internet. Just go with the flow.

Today we head off to Israel. I don't know when I will be able to check the internet next so don't be expecting daily updates anymore. I will try and get to it as much as possible. I know I can get access in Tel Aviv but I don't know about all the other places we are visiting. It's also a 10 hour time difference.. so that will be weird.

We are going to see a matinee of Wicked before we go. Apparently it is supposed to be really good. Everyone we have talked to has said it was so I'm excited.

We fly out at 11:50 pm and arrive at 5:30 pm wrap your brain around that one.

Day 4 - AADA and other acronyms

I don't really know what an acronym is. I think I'm using it in the right context.

Today we visited AADA. American Academy of Dramatic Arts. We took a tour with a guide who had an accent that I couldn't quite place. He talked really fast and went through things really really quickly. One of the main points he made was the blocks you used during class that could make up a bench or a coffee table. It was definitely a different approach than the other schools. Then we talked to the Dean of admissions (I think that was her title). I finally got to learn about the school. This is the one school I hadn't done as much research on. The information was very helpful. she did one of the best jobs answering questions although that might just be because I had more questions to ask.

After the visit I was tired and hungry. We decided to go back to the hotel and grab some lunch on the way. I wanted to go to the Hello Deli from the Late Show. So we did! The sandwiches were great and Rupert was hanging out outside. I got a picture that I will put up later.

Then we vegged

Then we went and saw the producers. It was a very solid show and I found myself laughing quite a bit. After that show we went to see a stand up comedy show. Besides the ones in Whitehorse I had never really been to a real comedy show at a club. It was very funny and all the comics were very good. My highlight of the night though was being able to order White Castle burgers... thats right. I had White Castle. Next time I will actually go to a White Castle to get them though... micro-waved for sure.

Then we went home. and now Im here at 2 in the morning. Yesterday was more eventful but this was a nice end to our New York part of the trip. I love New York. Really.

Day 2

Well it's day number 2. A full day in NYC. Good Times.

First up was a tour of Juilliard. Or not. There were no scheduled tours today because of new students coming in. I was fine with that, I just wanted the information on how to apply and what to expect at an audition. My mom wasn't. She bitched and complained how we scheduled a tour weeks ago blah blah blah. Eventually we got to see the school. In the long run I was really happy I did. It got me really excited to apply there. The school is amazing. I have never seen so much room for art. We were shown a "small" rehearsal hall and I was blown away. Then when I was told there were many more like them and some 1.5 times the size... well, I creamed my pants.

After the tour we decided to walk to Times Square. So we started walking.. the wrong direction. We found out it was the wrong way after stopping at a restaurant for lunch. That was the first time I have ever been asked how I want my hamburger.

We went shopping at a market and ended up back at the hotel. I was tired so I slept unitil..

AVENUE Q

The first show we saw on our trip. Very funny. It was awesome. Before the show we were walking down in Times Square and I finally felt excited about this trip and this city. It really would be an amazing place to live. I took lots of pictures which I will post tomorrow.

All in all it was a great day. A bonus was the fact that the wind picked up near the end so I wasn't so GOD DAMN HOT!

Day 1

the first day of my New York/Israel trip.

I can't get any photos up until September 1st so bear with me.

Today we flew from Whitehorse to Vancouver and then from Vancouver to New York. The Whitehorse to Vancouver flight was nothing special. Same old flight I always take out of the territory. This time it seemed to go faster though. Probably because I slept almost the entire time.

The Vancouver-New York trip was a little more interesting. they played the movie Madagascar which was decent enough. I think I dozed off a few times though because the plot didn't make much sense to me. I also got to eat a meal. This was the best airline food I have ever had. I got a special kosher meal and damn was it good. If flying, order kosher.

When we got to New York I couldn't believe how hot and humid it actually was. I thought it would be warm but I didn't know it would be this humid. It reminded me a lot of Florida.

The streets are really bumpy in New York.

I like the Barenaked LAdies. Well I like their greatest hits album at least.

I had an argument with this guy a while back about greatest hits albums. I thought they were a good way to get into a band. I said he should buy the sloan greatest hits album and if there was a song he really liked on it then he could get the cd it's on. I personally just like greatest hits albums because it puts all the good songs in one place and you don't have to put up with some of the shitty music that comes with a regular release.

I do agree though that greatest hits have gotten out of hand. Hillary Duff just released a greatest hit album after releasing only TWO previous albums. That's retarded. Greatest hits should be for bands who have many albums. At least more than three, and remix albums don't count you linkin park bastards.

Anyways, the Barenaked Ladies greatest hits album is good. So is the Green Day because I don't think it has any songs from their new cd... which sucks the cock
